Even if you’re lamenting the lost days of summer, you can still get excited for fall in Baltimore!

Maryland State Fair
When: Aug 22 – Sept 2
Where: Maryland State Fairgrounds, Lutherville
Why: It’s one of the biggest summer/fall events in Maryland!
What: Live concerts and entertainment, exhibits, rides, Thoroughbred horse racing, farm-fresh foods, a museum, U-Learn Farm, and tons of fair food… what’s not to love?
First Sunday Arts Festival
When: Sept 1, Oct 6, Nov 3, 11am – 5pm
Where: West St & Calvert St, Annapolis
Why: Support and celebrate local arts and artisans.
What: Over 130 local and regional artists, outdoor cafes, food trucks, live entertainment, and more.
Maryland Renaissance Festival
When: Weekends Aug 24 – Oct 20
Where: 1821 Crownsville Rd, Annapolis
Why: It’s the second-largest Renaissance Festival in the country!
What: The region’s premier outdoor event, the second-largest Renaissance Festival in the country, and a 40-year tradition of Annapolis and Baltimore.
Maryland Seafood Festival
When: Sept 7 – 8
Where: Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis
Why: It’s a 52-year tradition of delicious local seafood.
What: Super-fresh seafood, cook-offs and contests, eclectic music, sand soccer, paddleboarding, and more.
Anne Arundel County Fair
When: Sept 11 – 15
Where: Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds
Why: It’s a celebration of the tradition and lifestyle of Annapolis & its surrounding communities.
What: Farm exhibits, agricultural education, 4-H exhibits, auctions, contests, carnival rides, live entertainment, and plenty of food.
The Maryland Wine Festival
When: Sept 21 – Sept 22
Where: Carroll County Fair Museum, Westminster
Why: Entertainment, cheese, wine, seafood… is there more to say?
What: On-stage entertainment, juried artisans offering handmade goods, handcrafted cheeses, tons of seafood, and of course, Maryland wine tastings.
